For further details about the wealth of the Grand Parc and to plunge into so specific atmospheres, the Symalim has published a beautiful book (2013 publishing). For the first time, this book shows snapshots of this area entirely reinvented by humans and yet so natural. In this beautiful item, the text, written by Muriel Pernin, is sensitive and poetic, accompanied by pictures which are nods to each life moment in the Grand Parc. Pictures give prominence in the whole book, especially at the beginning of each chapter. Imagined like a stroll, this book takes the reader from stories to anecdotes, with different level of reading and always beautiful pictures on the facing page.

To guide and spread the book “Grand Parc, histoire en 10 instantanés”, the Symalim has wanted create a fun and interactive exhibition which, while relying on the book, will allow increasing the value and make known in a different way the Grand Parc, its tasks and its various aspects. The goal is to provide to the bordering communities, schools, cultural services (museums, libraries), tourist office… a wandering exhibition designed to make discover to a family public the Grand Parc Miribel Jonage in its interface aspect Human/Nature (fauna, flora, activities...).This exhibition was shown during the Destination Nature Party, during the Great date of the Grand Parc and in L’îloz’ (autumn party and site inauguration). The exhibition "Between Nature and Culture" is in addition to the exhibition "For an alternative farming".
With near 500 hectares of farmed lands (20% of its territory) and 16 farmers, the Grand Parc assures its desire to preserve the farming property helping farmers to develop new farming practices, to try new cultivations... and to find new prospects. If concrete and innovative actions have been organising (creation of a brand and a restaurant "Les Saveurs du Grand Parc, creation of an agroforest, a pastoralism management option…), it is today, through the creation of the exhibition "Grand Parc, pour une autre agriculture" and of a linked notebook that the Grand Parc shows that local and well-reasoned farming is a force, within a metropolis. Embodiment of the desire of the Symalim to make farming one of its main actions, this exhibition explains in a didactic and illustrated way solutions organised from 2005, (date of signature of a farming Charter) to protect and highlight a local farming. Designed for the general public, this exhibition is wandering; it is present on the Grand Parc event and on the bordering territories (Upstream Rhône / coastal Ain): libraries, civic centres, schools, tourist offices... The notebook "Pour une autre agriculture" permits to extend the discovery. It is available and free during the exhibition. It is also available in the Grand Parc reception and in L’îloz’.
