Cereals are grown with respect for the environment. So, the Grand Parc is turning towards rustic varieties which do not require water such as rye or buckwheat. They are certified organic and transformed to be sold in the Grand Parc. This is the same thing for barley which is used to brew beer for “Les Saveurs du Grand Parc”. Some organic buckwheat flour bags will be for sale in the reception of L’atol’ in June.
The Grand Parc wishes the market gardening gets back on its lands, in its fields as well as in plates. Les Saveurs du Grand Parc offers varied and local products, and certified organic as much as possible. A sale test of Mr Vacher’s products (tomato passata, aubergine dip, squash cream soup and ratatouille) has been organising in April. It will permit developing some products in the long term.
The bee has found its niche in the Grand Parc because it is an environmental quality indicator and a vital element for the biodiversity. So, the Grand Parc plants and takes care of its flowered pastures to create favourable conditions for bees and pollinating insects. An apiary with 16 beehives permits the tasty honey gathering from April to August! Jars of 250 grams will be for sale in L’atol’ on May and during the summer !
This cultivation permits to increase the value of poor soils. They are grown with respect for the environment, certified organic and they take part in the biodiversity of the area. Lavender, thyme and other herbs are grown today in this area and are turned into essential oils.
Regenerative and repairing, lavender essential oil is used on scars, small wounds and cutaneous infections.Relaxing and sedating, favours sleep, eliminates nervous tensions, migraines and muscular pains.
Massage,olfactory use,dilution in the bath,to diffuse in the air.
Lavandin essential oil is used by sportspersons because of its soothing and relaxing effects on muscles; it has properties similar to the fine lavender essential oil.
Anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxant, this essential oil is used in case of cramps or contractures.
Properties of these oils give a hydrating effect reinforced by essential oil presence. This oil leaves on skin a sweet and pleasurable touch. These oils are rich in substances having anti-radical properties and property of reduction of skin ageing.

Thyme thymol floral water is a skin purifying which regulate greasy and acne-affected skins with a sterilised property. It is recommended for sensitive persons because it brings them the quiet strength of the plant essential to set out again on the tortuous paths of the existence. It is also recommended for sportspersons, ambitious persons and hard workers.

The organic clary sage floral water is regulating perspiration. It is bracing and it helps digestion, fights fungal infection and helps women during the premenstrual period.

The Grand Parc pastures permit to produce hay used in the surrounding farms. This feeds cattle producing quality milk and cheese, to savour in the restaurants of the Grand Parc or to buy in the farm of our farmer Mr Geoffray !
Flocks of cows and goats attend to the pasture maintenance of the Grand Parc. They mow and clear in accordance with this ancestral practice, the pastoralism. It also contributes to the defence of threatened breeds and permits to produce in the Grand Parc a quality meat certified organic. A trial delivery of meat in crate was organised last spring and a new one should occur on September.
